 Know how to get free?
Take a deep and painful breath:
Then turn your heart off.

When you let them in--
those with "poverty of self,"
they diminish you.

3.

Think I’m a soul mate?

Pointed ears with long gray tail?

She's the only one.

4.
How can we be friends
when you make me your mother?
It isn't working.



5.  
Falling slowly down
after ascending to sky--
a kind of balance.

6.
Into the dark now—
snowing on skeletal limbs,
my soul fast asleep.
